What is Live Action Role-Play?
Live Action Role-Play, or LARP, is a style of game that best resembles improve theater. Participants create a persona, or character, and dress in the clothing that represents their character. They then act and talk like their character for the entire duration of the game event. LARPs are usually played at a venue at a scheduled date and time arranged by the game's organizer.

There are many, many styles of LARPs and gameworld genres the participants can enjoy. The most popular LARPs around the world is the Camarilla and NERO. These games utilize a person called a Game Master who develops stories within the gameworld, and determines the actions of the player's characters. Since the Game Master provides scenarios the players are expected to solve, Game Masters provides most of the entertainment for the players.
How Biomechine LARPs are Unique
Biomechine takes a different approach to LARP by removing the Game Master from the game. Without a GM, the players are the sole providers of story and entertainment for the other players. Using the creatures described in the Rulebook of the game, all players have access to all character possibilities in the game. Players are then free to control the environment their characters exist in by taking the initiative to make changes through the actions of their character. Alliances and enemies can be made, control of law and crime can be yours, the possibilities are endless and entirely in your hands.

All Biomechine games use live combat simulated with latex foam weapons and/or Nerf weaponry. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, bring props and room decoration appropriate for the game to help build a believable fantasy atmosphere.
